ANCHOR Monkey-/Orthopoxvirus PCR Kit

Qualitative Real-Time PCR Kit
Research Use Only (RUO)

Image

The ANCHOR Monkey-/Orthopoxvirus PCR Kit is a specialized real-time PCR-based test designed for the precise amplification, detection, and differentiation of nucleic acids specific to:

◽ Monkeypox virus
◽ Other members of the Orthopoxvirus genus including the variola vaccine strain (Modified-Vaccinia-Ankara Virus, MVA)

Key Features & Advantages

Rapid Results

Achieve efficient sample processing with PCR results within just 30 minutes*, critical for research applications.
* Exact PCR run time may vary depending on real-time PCR instrument used.

Precise Qualitative Detection and Differentiation

  • Uses distinguishable fluorescent dyes for the simultaneous and highly specific detection and differentiation of monkeypox virus and orthopoxvirus-specific DNA and the Internal Control across three detector channels of real-time PCR instruments.
  • Allows differentiation of current vaccine strain (Modified-Vaccinia-Ankara Virus, MVA) from monkeypox virus
  • Reliably detects all current clade I and II strains (w/o differentiation)

Integrated Quality Monitoring

  • Includes an Internal Control (IC) to verify sample extraction success and detect PCR amplification inhibition.
  • Features a Positive Control with artificial DNA representing target sequences of monkeypox and orthopoxvirus.
  • Comes with a Negative Control DNA to ensure reagent integrity and reaction performance and exclude false positive results.

Optimized for Efficiency & Flexibility

  • Compatible with all ANCHOR PCR kits in the same run (harmonized temperature profiles)
  • Intuitive and identical pipetting scheme for all ANCHOR PCR kits
  • Works with various nucleic acid purification systems and cycler platforms for cost efficiency and operational ease
  • 100-reaction kits include 4x 25-reaction Master Mix vials to reduce freeze-thaw cycles
